หลังจากแงะชำแหล่ะมาดู ก็พบว่าiPhone 3G ใช้ชิพเซ็ท SoC S5PC100 จาก Samsung ใช้ CPU ARM Cortex A8 รับที่ 600 MHz และวิ่งขึ้นไปแตะ 833 MHz เมื่อใช้งานหนัก ไฮไลท์คือ ตัวนี้สามารถบันทึกและเล่นไฟล์วีดีโอความละเอียด 720p ได้ แต่น่าผิดหวังที่ iPhone 3G S บันทึกได้แค่ VGA เท่านั้น
